Semin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNIST, South Korea. He joined the Lee lab in September 2024 as a visiting scholar. He received his BS in Biology from Seoul National University, MSc in BioSystems from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge. After completing his PhD, he joined Prof. Peter Park’s lab at Harvard Medical School as a research fellow, where he worked on The Cancer Genome Atlas project and somatic mosaicisms in human brain neurons. His research interests lie primarily in understanding the mechanisms of human disease development and deciphering therapy response factors using computational and bioinformatic techniques.
