Fall outing to Flume Gorge and Mount Cannon in NH

The Lee lab took a one-day excursion to enjoy the beautiful New England fall foliage.  Our eager guest hiker, Lixing Yang, from the University of Chicago, intimidated us into making an ambitious plan to suffer through the challenging Franconian Ridge Loop trail , and then by some twist of fate, missed his flight and was unable to grace us with his presence.  So, we reverted to our less challenging but wholly enjoyable walk around Flume Gorge and then jumped on a round-way cable car ride to the top of Mount Cannon. Let’s keep in shape so that if Lixing joins us next year, we’ll be ready.
